Human rights and the Wall of Shame protagonists in the Sahrawi Spring Activism Day [elkoko]

ACAPS, Resistencia Sahrauí and the Associació Solidària Famílies Solidàries amb els nens sahrauís de l’Hospitalet organized the Spring Sahrawi Activism Day - [elkoko], a day that was about two conferences and a documentary, at the Centre Cultural Barrades de L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Catalonia). Spring Sahrawi Activism Day - [elkoko] was held to mark the fifth anniversary of the Sahrawi intifada.

The day began with a conference about the Sahrawi activism and human rights. This table had input from Lemjiya Sidahmed, M. The second conference was about the planned mining of the shame wall where Nah Gaici made a personal and historical exhibition on the wall and the destructive effects of mines. Nah Gaici asked to create a Wall Centre to collect and process comprehensive information on the wall and on the victims. Gaici also requested information to break the silence, since in March there were new mine victims, including the death of a girl of seven years, and that this information does not reach the media or agencies responsible international. Miquel Cartró, ACAPS member, made the moderator.

As part of the day, the documentary "The flight from hell", conducted in 1975-1976. It is an authentic historical document in the memory of the Sahrawi people.
